Shallow moderately dangerous earthquake near Islamabad Pakistan

Earthquake Report comment :
A moderately shallow earthquake occurred at only 20 km from the Tarbela dam and at 45 km from one of the main cities in Pakistan  : Islamabad following USGS data.
According to Pakistan News sources, who are citing a Pakistani seismological organisation, the epicenter was only 20 km from Islamabad.
Although the Magnitude is not that heavy, the poor house construction in Pakistan is the reason why ‘earthquake report’ is labelling this earthquake as moderately dangerous.
As Pakistani are still struggling with the massive inondations, eventual damage or injuries will normally not reach the local or international press.
The earthquake happened at 2:44 AM at night.
People ran on the streets wen it happened. Local sources say that ‘immediatly after the earthquake, it started to rain heavily’. We can confirm that there is no link whatsoever in between earthquakes and rain.
