Earthquake Report comment :
At least 82 people have been injured in Do-rud, when a M 4.9 very shallow earthquake occurred during the morning (at 07:22 AM local time).
Based on Iranian Seismological center reporting, the epicenter of the earthquake was near Do-Rud and Razan, although some smaller villages are closer to the epicenter.
From the very beginning Earthquake-Report.com colored this earthquake ORANGE as we are aware (based on previous Iranian earthquakes) that even smaller magnitudes if they occur near cities, can cause a lot of misery like damage, injuries, etc.
As most of the houses are not build earthquake-proof, we always fear for the worst.
Do-rud (also written as Doorud and Do rud, has a population of 114,395 inhabitants)
