Earthquake Report comment :
As there are different coordinates of the exact epicenter, we have used this time the Magnitude data from USGS and the epicenter location data from the Institute of Geophysics, University of Tehran.
Based on our experience with Iranian earthquakes, even M +5 earthquakes can be very dangerous.
Iranians live mostly in brick houses which are very vulnerable for earthquake shocks.
Unfortunately only very few reports come out of the country.
Although Bastak and Jenah are the bigger cities in the Hormuzgan province,  they do not exceed a population of 50,000. The area is a common earthquake target with major disasters.

Most important Earthquake Data:
Magnitude : Mb 5.3
Tuesday, September 07, 2010 at 05:41:07 AM at epicenter

Geo-location(s) :

25 Km of  Bastak, Hormozgan, Iran
37 Km of Bandar chark, Hormozgan, Iran
