El Salvador – M 4.2 – Very light earthquake near Usulutan volcano

Earthquake Report comment :
A Magnitude 4.2 earthquake occurred in the immediate vicinity of the Usulutan volcano (see link on Google map hereunder) on Saturday evening local time.
As this earthquake occurred at a depth of 133 km nobody will have felt it.
Usulután is a stratovolcano in central El Salvador, rising above the coastal plain between the San Vicente and San Miguel volcanoes, and just east of Taburete volcano. The volcano is topped by a 1.3 km wide summit crater which is breached to the east. (source Wikipedia)

A very light earthquake struck at the Guatemala coast in the evening hours of July 30.
Due to the depth, some people will not even have felt the quake.
USGS has received only 1 ‘weak’ shaking alert out of Guatemala City.
