Earthquake Report comment :
A few smaller valley villages like Skazar and Kalat at a distance of ca. 30 km.
Epicenter is just under the summit of Kohe Koran, with his 5841 meter the 220th highest peak in Asia!.
Normally we would label this quake as moderately dangerous, but because of  the depth we have labeled it as Safe with a limited chance of damage or injuries.
Landslides are a continuous treat to this area during and after earthquakes.
Although these are small mountain villages, one can see very clearly on the satellite images of Skazar (Eskazar) that there are a lot of houses and extensive farming is going on in the river bed.
The earthquake has been felt as a MM IV in Kabul, 220 km away from the epicenter. MM IV = light shaking.
Most of the many earthquakes in this area of the country originate in deeper layers (from 150 to 300 km).
Because of the remote location of these villages it can take more than 24 hours before information will get to the modern world, hopefully ‘safe’
