1.Where to go if it starts ? (added on August 13)
When an earthquake starts, drop to the floor, take cover under a sturdy desk or table (make sure that you define these places before something happens), and hold on to it firmly.
Be prepared to move with it until the shaking stops.
The area near the exterior walls of a building is the most dangerous place to be.
Windows, facades and architectural details are often the first parts of the building to collapse.  Stay away from this danger zone, stay inside if you are inside and outside if you are outside.

2. What to do when you are in bed ? (added on August 18)
Reality tells us that there will be +30% chance that you are in bed when the shaking starts.
If you are in bed, hold on and stay there, protecting your head with a pillow.
You are less likely to be injured staying where you are.
Broken glass on the floor has caused injury to those who have rolled to the floor or tried to get to doorways.

The text is based on trusted ways to protect yourself, as specified and told by most governmental agencies. We know that other experimental opinions exist on this subject, but Earthquake Report will stay on the secure and proven path. This mainly to avoid confusion. Other articles in the future may cover these methods.

Other tips will follow.
