In memory of the victims of August 11, 19XX – Greece, Iran, Ecuador and Turkey

“In memory of” will highlight deadly earthquakes of the past.
People have forgotten a lot of these human tragedies.
We @ Earthquake Report are hopeful that people in these countries and cities will learn from their history and will make sure that they are building Earthquake Proof houses and that they know what to do when the earth will be shaking again.

M 6.0  11-08-1988  Depth 11 km    Iran –   killing 1 person
One person killed, several injured and more than 2,000 houses damaged in the Mamasani area. Felt at Bushehr, Nurabad and Shiraz.

M 5.3  11-08-1990  Depth 18 km    Ecuador – killing 4 people

At least 4 people killed, 10 injured, 1,300 houses damaged and landslides in the Pomasqui area. Felt strongly at Quito.

M 5.6  11-08-2004  Depth 5 km    Turkey – killing 1 person
One person killed, 11 people injured and several houses damaged in the Elazig-Sivrice area.
