USA – M 4.8 – Powerful earthquake near Grand Teton National Park

Earthquake Report comment :
Fairly strong earthquake near Jackson and Grand Teton National Park.
In the direct vicinity of the epicenter inhabitants experienced a moderate to strong shaking
USGS calculated the shaking as a maximum Mercalli II (weak shaking).

Update 15:55 UTC , August 5, 2010 : People in the area did experience a 10 second tremor and were surprised by shaking cabinets, swaying chandeliers and prompting calls to law enforcement dispatch.
“My guests saw rocks fall from the top of the nose of the Sleeping Indian,”
“They saw dust on the ridges above the ranch.”
